Mike Brown Contemplates Retirement after UFC 146 Win

Mike Brown looked very strong in his victory over a very game Daniel Pineda tonight. Brown out-muscled Pineda over the course of the first two rounds. Then Pineda got the upper hand in the third and final round, but Brown was crafty enough to survive to the bell, and ended up earning himself the decision victory. After the fight the 36-year-old featherweight might be able to do something that few are able to do in mma, retire on his own terms. In similar fashion to that of Chris Lytle, Brown was able to close out his career on a win.

If this really is the end for Brown, then he’s had a great career, a former WEC Featherweight champion, the only man to defeat Urijah Faber twice(at least for now) and an all around exciting fighter to watch. Best of luck to Brown in any of his future endeavors and thanks for the memories.
