Eddie Alvarez’s potential final match in Bellator has been scheduled and we also know who it will be against. Alvarez will be taking on Patricky “Pitbull” Freire at Bellator 76  on October 12 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Regardless of the outcome, this could very well be the last time Alvarez fights in Bellator, unless the two sides can come to terms on a new contract.

Alvarez rebounded from his title loss to Michael Chandler with an impressive tko victory over the now defunct DREAM kightweight champion Shinya Aoki, which in turn also avenged Alvarez’s previous loss to Aoki. Freire on the other hand is 1-2 in his last three, and is coming into this fight off of a loss to Lloyd Woodard back in March. With a big win in this fight Alvarez might be in better control of his destiny, but either way the couple months following this fight will be interesting to see what happens and where Alvarez will land.
